Dr Maja Schaedel is a clinical psychologist with extensive experience in both the NHS and private practice.
For many years, Dr Maja has specialised in sleep disorders, and in 2019, she co-founded The Good Sleep Clinic, a private sleep clinic based in Kent. Since 2023, she has also been running residential sleep retreats in East Sussex for people with sleep difficulties.
In addition to her private work, Dr Maja serves as the lead psychologist in one of the UK’s leading NHS sleep disorder centres in London. Her NHS experience spans a wide range of child and adult mental health services.
She is an experienced therapist and has undergone further training in a range of therapies such as cognitive behavioural therapy for insomnia (CBT-I), eye movement desensitisation reprocessing (EMDR), and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT). She teaches on University Clinical Psychology doctoral programmes and offers advanced psychological skills training to health professionals working with insomnia and other sleep difficulties.
