What’s creatine?
Creatine is a compound found naturally in our muscle and brain cells. It helps produce our body’s main energy source, a substance called ATP (adenosine triphosphate).

We use creatine for brain function and whenever we contract our muscles – so it can deplete quicker than usual during intense workouts.
Because of this, some people take creatine supplements to help replace the creatine you naturally lose and help enhance strength as well as recovery during high-intensity exercise.1
You can get some creatine from meat and fish.1 But if you don’t eat these (ie, if you’re vegetarian or vegan) it might be difficult to get creatine in your diet.
