Ferrules are subject to wear depending on weight bearing, frequency of use and walking surfaces. To maintain stability and safety:

• Inspect regularly for signs of wear
• Replace before tread is worn through
• Keep a spare pair available, particularly when travelling
• When replacing, ensure the internal grey plug/cap at the base of the shaft is secure before fitting a new ferrule
