Cacao powder hot chocolate
Cosy up with a cup of hot chocolate… with a twist. This seriously indulgent cacao powder hot chocolate features coconut sugar, real vanilla and your choice of plant milk
Ingredients
- 250ml plant-based milk
- 15g coconut sugar
- 1 vanilla pod
- 4 tbsp raw cacao powder
- Marshmallows to decorate (optional)
Method
Step 1
Add the milk, coconut sugar and vanilla pod (cut lengthways), to a sauce pan and heat over medium-low heat
Step 2
Bring the pan to a simmer and stir until the coconut sugar has dissolved and milk is infused with the vanilla
Step 3
Add the cacao powder to a bowl and add a few tablespoons of the hot milk and stir until smooth
Step 4
Add the cacao paste to the rest of the milk and stir until combined
